基本的に初級者が中級者になるときに読む本だと思う。
（全くの初心者は無理かも・・・）
今の私にとって知りたかったことが山のように載っていました。
文体も堅苦しくないので読み物としてもおもしろいです。

機能をただ紹介するのではなく、実際に使える形での実例がたくさん掲載されていて非常に便利な1冊でした。LINUXサーバの扱い方を覚えてきたくらいの方にとっては非常に参考になると思います。

ある調査会社は「今後5年間で商用ベンダー系UNIXは減少し、WindowsとLinuxが増加するだろう」というレポートを出しているが、きっちりとした調査を見るまでもなく、今後Linuxがますます増えると予想される方も多いだろう。

本書は、今後ますます重要になるLinuxの、質の高いHackを100個を集めたノウハウ本である。目次を表示させるとわかるが、現在のITのトレンドを捉えた内容となっている。特に「サーバ管理の基礎」は、サーバ管理者に限らず、すべてのLinux利用者が必読の内容と思う。内容的には実践的なノウハウ（＝Hack)が多数収録されている(例 ssh,iptables,hdparm等)。

もし、急速に普及するLinuxをあなたの技術として「売り物」にするならば、本書の内容は絶対にマスターしておきたい。この本の内容が「プロ（＝Linuxを「売り」にできる者）」と「プロでない者(=Linuxをさわっているだけの者）」の実際の分岐点だと思う。
