この本(原著)は2002年4月出版で、元々執筆中と思われる2001年8月辺り
にWEPの脆弱性が発表され、それを入れ損なったという気の毒な本だ。

それをさらに1年かけて翻訳した本著は出た瞬間から古さを醸していた。
この本を2006年の今読むことは学習目的であってもお勧めしない。

ついに待望のOreillyの802.11 Wireless Networks: The Definitive
Guideの日本語訳がでました！！
やっとという感じですが英語を読むのが苦手な初級・中級技術者にとっ
ては非常に読みやすく、これまでの解説書に比べて基本的なところから
とても分かりやすく書いてあります。802.11の基本的なところを押さえ
たい方にお勧めです。原著の図表誤り等も修正されているようで原著と
併せて手元に置いておいて損のない本だと思います。
