昔から料理本や雑誌は大好きで、いろいろなものを眺めてきましたが、
最近は年齢のせいか、凝った素材や、奇抜なアイデアの料理本に少々
飽きてしまいました。自由な発想はいいんだけど。。。なんか変、と
いう感じがぬぐえなくって。

それで、「シンプルなんだけど、筋がとおっていて、基本もちゃんと
していて、でも、ガチガチでなくて、今ドキのレシピも古き良き時代
のお料理も、しっかり押さえられている、良質の普段着みたいな本」
があったらなぁとずっと夢見てきましたが、この本を手にとった瞬間、
「そう、こういうのが欲しかったのよ〜♪」と嬉しくなってしまいま
した。

大庭先生のレシピ、ということもあって、基本を大切に、しかも、手
ぬきではなく、簡単に、きちんとしたごはんが出来上がります。
ビギナーの人も、ベテランの人も、十分満足できる内容ではないでし
ょうか。

全体的にコンサバなメニューですので、中には物足りないと感じる人
もいるかもしれませんが、アレンジ次第でいくらでもレシピは膨らむ
し、結局毎日台所を預って家族の健康を守っていきたいと思うと、い
きつくところ、このような食事になるのでは、と思うのは、私だけで
はないはず。

また、編集のコンセプトがユニークで、レシピを通して日本の50年を
振り返ることができるようになっています。読んでいるだけで、懐か
しい気持ちになったり、そうそう！ティラミス流行った！と思わずう
なずいてしまったり、と楽しめます。食にまつわるトピックスが章ご
とに年表形式でまとめられていて、いろいろな世代の人が集まるよう
なパーティーで話題にしたら、とても盛り上がりそうです。

ダイエーさんが協力しているのか、記事の中にダイエー商品が中心的
にピックアップされているのが、少々目につきますが、レシピそのも
のには全く影響がないので、そのあたりは大丈夫。

これからも長く大切にとっておきたいお料理本のひとつだと思います。
