「男子厨房に入る」シリーズの１冊。
このシリーズの醍醐味はなんといっても食欲をそそる大きな写真だ。
全体的にどこかレトロな雰囲気を持たせながら、この上なくおいしそうに見せている。
つい末尾の撮影者の名前を見てしまうほど印象に残る。
見ているだけでも楽しめる料理本だが、これほどおいしそうに見えるのだから、再現してみない手はない。
書名にあるように、定食屋の定番ごはんが解説されている。
品目数も絞られ、シンプルかつスマートに仕上がっている。
価格もお手ごろでおススメ。

この本に出てくる生姜焼きは、漬けダレと、炒め用と２回、別調合の生姜汁を使うのですが、とても風味がよくて、我が家の究極の生姜焼きレシピになりました。
甘めの味がすきな方はどうぞ。
ほうれん草のごまあえや秋刀魚の塩焼きなど、基本的なとこから書かれていますが、
とにかく、生姜焼きは最高でした。
アジの味噌たたきを作ってよーと彼が買ってきたのですが、魚さばくの面倒でまだ作ってません。（さばき方まで写真つき）
やや基本書傾向がありますが、はっとするほど美味しい生姜焼きに出会えて、めっけものな本でした。
いくつか作りましたが、どれも美味しくできました。
最初の１冊としては５つ星です。
基本的な料理が多いので料理道楽としては星をひとつ削りたいとこですが、生姜焼きの感動でやはり星５つ。驚くほど美味しいってなかなかないですからね。

この本は本当の定番で分かりやすいメニューが多いのでお料理初めての人にもおすすめ！とくに知ってそうで知らない基本のダシのとり方は「ああなるほど」と納得すること請け合い。ただ、細かい材料を揃えなければいけないのが難点かな。
