沖縄を持ち上げるだけの本が多くて、県民は「ちょっと違うんじゃないの」と思っている。でもこの本は沖縄のマイマス面も書いてある。本土出身者が沖縄で暮らすことの大変さも書いてある。だから、県民の私は「この本はまとも」と思う。
沖縄暮らしに意外性や非日常性を求めてはいけないよ。うん。暮らせば日常になるんだからね。この本に取り上げられた人たちが沖縄に根付いて暮らしている様子が分かるし、時にはウチナーンチュとの問題に直面することもあるって分かる。
沖縄暮らしの現実が一番よく見える本じゃないかな。

正直言って、カバーやタイトルの楽しそうなイメージとは遠い。
現地取材のきめ細かさはあるかもしれないが、
ノンフィクション読み物としてダイナミズムに欠ける。
どれも聞いたことがあるような話ばかりだし、
要するにストーリーがおもしろくない。

沖縄いいなぁ。

沖縄いいなぁと思うのは、美しい空や海だけでなく、沖縄の人の温かく広い心に触れることができるから。

そう思って再び沖縄を訪れる人は多いでしょう。

沖縄に恋して、本土から移り住んだ人たちの話です。

沖縄のいい面を手離しで褒めるだけでなく、時間に対してルーズ、本土の人に偏見を持っている、などの短所についても触れています。

自分の沖縄での体験と重ねながら、あぁこういうのわかるわかる、という感じでほのぼの読めました。
