夏目 漱石
1867~1916。帝国大学英文科卒業後、松山中学校などを経て、イギリスへ留学。帰国後、東大講師を務めながら作品を発表。朝日新聞社入社後は本格的に職業作家としての道を歩み始めるが、晩年は胃潰瘍と糖尿病に悩まされ、「明暗」で絶筆となった(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

最近コンビニや書店でよく見かけるシリーズ。
漫画ですから、すべて絵になっているので文体・言葉の美しさなどはおもいっきり
カットされてますが、ストーリーはしっかり押さえてあるので
なるほど、これが名著の内容なんだと納得。
演出手法が強烈（笑えるもの多数）で、漫画として結構、楽しめます。
文学の映像化等が許せない生粋の漱石ファンの方は、絶対に読まないほうがいいでしょう。
そんな事にこだわりのない方、原作を未読の方は素直に楽しめると思います。

漱石の有名な小説の漫画版です
漫画ということもあり美しい文体などは完全に省いているため、真に漱石を味わうことはできないだろうと思いますが、漫画としてみてもとてもよくできています。
多少コミカルに描きすぎているところも見受けられて、生粋の漱石ファンの人には腹を立てる人もいるかもしれませんが、私はこれはこれでありだと思います。これから漱石を読もうかと思っている人、興味はあったけどなんだか敷居が高くてとっつきにくいなと感じている人もお勧めです。

年寄りの頑迷な意見と受け取られるかもしれませんが、さすがにこれはちょっと・・・って感じです。序盤、「先生」が「Ｋ」の墓参りをするシーンでの墓石に刻まれた「Ｋ」の一文字は、さすがにこれはちょっと悪い冗談に過ぎるでしょう。そもそも「先生」を、あんなサガノヘルマー然とした姿でイメージしている人がいるのでしょうか。ページの制約があるのでストーリーについて云々はないにしても、僭越ではありますが、構図というか、とにかく「絵」が下手過ぎると思いました。繰言と聞き流してもらってかまいませんが、本書を読んで「こころ」を知るのは、いかがなものかという危惧ばかりが募ります。
