太宰 治
1909~1948。青森県出身。東京帝大在学中に、左翼運動にかかわる。女性問題、薬物中毒、数度の自殺・心中未遂など、波乱の青春時代を送る。運動絶縁後は執筆に集中し、多くの傑作を発表。自伝的小説「人間失格」完成の1ヶ月後、玉川上水にて入水(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

独特の絵柄で歪んだ世界観が描かれています。
視覚に直接突き刺さるので、原作の難しい部分も分かりやすいです。
かなり良いメディアミックスの成功例の一つです。
ただ一つの問題点は情交シーンがあるのでお子さんにはすすめにくいかもしれません。

個人的に文学を漫画で読む、というのは好きじゃない。でもこれは本当に良く出来てました。
作品の魅力を知るにはやはり原作を読むべきです。この漫画の中では主人公の持つ「人間への恐怖」を特に表現しています。その書き方が本当に上手い。漫画という媒体を上手く活かした書き方…主人公にとって理解できない人間をのっぺらぼうとして描いているその絵が本当に怖いのです。ただ難点は、後半は結構「ただの堕落物語」として読めてしまうこと。それから当たり前ですが、原作と比べイメージがかなり拘束されてしまうこと。でも一つの漫画として一読の価値あり。

この漫画は非常によく出来ていると思います。
そもそも原作がビジュアル表現に向いた内容だったということに気づきました。
漫画での見せ方が実に効果的です。

そもそも小説って、本質だけを端折っていくと、実は数ページで足りるはず。
いや、極端なことを言えば１行でも足りるものもあるだろうから、
この漫画の適度な圧縮の仕方は素晴らしいの一言。

もちろんこれでは原作の全てを味わえるべくもありませんが、一方でむしろ文字だけを読むよりも得られる感想もあることでしょう。


名作が一時間もかからず読みきれるので、とてもありがたいですね。
