普段は見ることの出来ないコクピット。

一般的にハイテク機といわれる飛行機の、どこが「ハイテク」なのかを知ることができる。いまやパイロットは計器ではなく、CRTや液晶画面をモニターしているということも驚きだが、なんと言っても操縦桿のない飛行機があることもびっくりする。サイドスティックと液晶画面で飛行機の操縦しているなんて、なにかPCゲームのようで、私でも飛べそうな気がしてくる。

タイトル通り、コックピットにこだわりこだわりこだわりまくった写真集、国内外の可能な限りの機種のコクピットの写真が掲載されている。古い機種やマイナーな機種は写真が小さくなっているが、メジャー機種はどかんと大きく載っている、写真の質はものにより、一部の写真は、肝心な部分のピントがいまひとつあまかったりするが、許容範囲であろう。「かっこいい」と見る読者のみならず、ヒューマンインターフェースに興味がある関係者にもおすすめである。
