たくさんの憧れのキッチン雑貨の写真がちりばめられた、カタログのような、写真集のような一冊です。ネットサーフィンもいいけれど、写真を眺めながら、いつかは欲しい憧れのものたちをチェックしていくのはとっても優雅な気分です。

特集されているもの以外は、特に機能について言及はされていませんが、ぱらぱら眺めて、調べるのはネットで・・・という使い方もいいかもしれませんね。著名人のキッチンが紹介されているページもあり、非常に参考になります。長く愛される(そしてお値段もちょっとお高い)ものたちには、それなりの理由があるのだなあと実感できました。

ああ~、私もいつかは･･･！

そんなに道具にこだわらない人でも、知らなかっただけで「あ、これ持ってる」「実家にあった」なんて物が載っているかもしれないですね。
こだわり派には「すでに知っている」ものが多数載っていますが、くわしいサイズや材質なども載っていますので、新しく購入したい時や、比べたい物が出て来た時に便利だと感じました。
レイアウトがとても見やすいので気になった道具が出る度にくり返し広げちゃう一冊です。
長い間愛されているデザインのものと、新しい良質なデザインのものが紹介されているこの本ですが、そろそろ新しいパート２本出して欲しいです。

写真はきれいだし、誌面は見やすいし、ぱらぱら眺めるには楽しい。
いろんな国のいろんな素材の、いろんなコンセプトのツールがたくさん掲載されている。
でも、「蒸し器がほしい」「樹脂塗装されていないものがほしい」
「多重構造のステンレス鍋がほしい」など、
ある程度用途を定めて探し物するには役に立たなかった。
