平たく言えば、問題の選択肢を消していく方法が載っている本で、掲載内容は文章読解や社会学系といった文系の分野が中心になっています。予備校などで講座を受けている方だと、「文章の後ろを見る」といったテクニックを知る機会があると思うのですが、そういった情報を得にくい独学者の方にとっては、役立つ情報も少なくない筈です。

ただし、実際の試験でこの本の方法を安易に用いると失敗する可能性があります。本の中で「これは公務員試験なのだからこういった記述が正解になることはない。よく考えれば当然」といった扱いを受けている選択肢と同質のものが、実際の試験で正解になっているケースは現実に存在しています。他にも、ある「裏ワザ」で取り上げている例題が、別の「裏ワザ」と噛み合っていない場面も見られたりします。このように、勇み足の記述を幾らか含んでいるため、試験直前に読んでその足で本番に挑むのは危険です。点数アップに寄与しないだけならまだしも、「裏ワザ」に振り回されて、本来得点できる部分を逃してしまうような事態が起こりかねません。

そういった理由から積極的にオススメすることは出来ませんが、それでも個人的な経験では、実際の試験で応用できる部分が多少なりともあったのは事実です。一通り読んで頭に入れた上で過去問に挑んでいけば、選択肢の消去力が上昇するとは思いますので、正攻法で挑んだ結果、文型分野の難しさに途方に暮れてしまった方なら、一度手を出してみる価値はあるかもしれません。気後れさせてしまうような意見を述べましたが、読んだ後で練習問題に積極的に取り組んでいく意欲があれば大丈夫です。多分。

〜だからこの肢は落とせるとか、つまり…が正解だと簡単にわかるとか。

こんなことばかり書いてますが、普通の人にはそんなことできませんし、わからないと思います。

基本そんなことばかりで、たまに、あぁ確かに。って思うこともあります。

おすすめできません。

公務員試験の合格率からして受かる人数は知れている。
本書を鵜呑みにし、皆と同様の勉強方法をするから落ちるという現実に
そろそろ気づいてもらいたい・・・。

人は人。自分は自分。誰が何と言おうと、自ら参考書を選びを自分を信じるべし

普通に過去問解いたほうがいいなと自分の中では結論付けました。
好き嫌いが分かれる本だと思います。
