プロインタビュアーという著者の過去の作品を読んだことはなかったが，蔵書から得た知識と徹底的下調べによる高度なインタビュー術，という著者紹介はダテではない．著者がパンク系ミニコミ「修羅」の後期スタッフから文筆の道に入ったという点で，インタビューの対象とのなるミュージシャンとの心理的距離が近いというのもプラスに働いている．
登場するのは，森若香織，氏神一番，関口誠人，ダイヤモンドユカイ，水戸華之介，中山加奈子，阿部義晴，いまみちともたか，BAKI，石川浩司，サンプラザ中野，サエキけんぞう，NAOKI，KERA，仲野茂，MAGUMI，KENZI，イノウエアツシ，DYNAMITE TOMMY，大槻ケンジ．生い立ちから始まって，バンドブームの喧騒と事後談，という流れはすべて一緒だが，十分な下調べに裏打ちされた脚注の多さもあって，掘り下げた内容にも関わらず，一気に読ませる．それぞれにブーム前後に頂点に達した後に様々な苦悩・苦労があったことが偲ばれる．当時のリスナーとしてはタイムマシンで思い出の裏側を垣間見る気分．

面白かったです。

インタビューの内容は、ヒリヒリと心にくるものも結構ありました。
ロックな人生のオンパレード。

インディーズとかパンクとかが大好きだったteenの頃。
彼らはスターでした。
「大人になって」、そういったものからは離れてしまったけど、
ここらでまたteenの頃に聞いていた音楽に関心が戻ってきた。
結局のところ、「大人になって」って思っていた20代もガキだったんだな。
ライブにいくと、同じような復活組みも結構いて、楽しいのだ。

読者のみなさん、ライブ会場で会いましょう！

って気持ちになれる作品です。

宝島世代だったもので、えらいストライクでした。
それにしてもみなさまいまだ現役で
転がり続けているのですね。
