スタメン選手のみのデータしか無いため、全く意味ない。
クラブ、国別の総評的な短いコメントと５角形グラフがあるが、ゲームをやれば直ぐにグラフは分かるものである。
よって何処のチームがどれだけの戦力なのかは一切分からない。
また、掲載されているスタメン選手も３０個の能力を番号で省略して表現しているため、何番がシュート精度で何番がパス精度なのかが直ぐに分からなくなる。
大きく顔写真が入っており、やたらと分厚いのも無駄。
リアルの選手名鑑なら写真が要るだろうが、ゲームの顔をデカデカと掲載する意味が分からない。
この本は「ウイイレ２００９スタメン選手のみの顔写真集」とタイトルを変えた方がよい。

選手名鑑という読み物としては価値があるかもしれないが、
例えばマスターリーグでの有望選手チェックなど、
選手獲得前の参考という点では全く用をなさないガイド。

各チームのスタメン選手しか掲載していないため、
控えの若手選手の能力、成長など、
読者にとって本当に知りたい情報は未掲載。

ナショナルチームとクラブチームとで同じ選手の詳細情報を二度載せるなど、
正直首を傾げざるを得ない。
顔グラフィック掲載はどうでもいいから全選手をカバーして欲しかった。
巻末のポジション別ベストプレーヤーも、タレント検索すれば済む内容。
成長曲線の掲載有無が最も大きなポイントだと思うのだが……。

以前から購入しているのですが今回のはひどい。顔写真の掲載は作り手のエゴ。消費者は本物と似てる似てないはこの本には期待していないこと。チームごとの選手一覧は名前しかなく誰を使えばいいのか全くわからない。また、成長曲線もなくマスターリーグで一番使いたいのに一番ほしい情報がない。たとえばキーパーを探している場合、チームデータでキーパー名を探し、名前で検索。これならゲーム内の検索のほうが控え選手まで出てくるので使える。早く違う本が出てくれないか期待しています。
