「コゲどんぼ」から「こげどんぼ*」と改名した著者の最新作は
明治時代末期を舞台にした幻想浪漫奇譚。

死の淵で天使と契約をした主人公・相模竹之丸は
「誰からも愛される容姿」と「天才的な音楽の才能」を得、
その代わりに、彼を愛する事で少女の心臓に育つ
「聖女(マリア)の涙」を狩る使命を負う。

著者による明治時代についての解説や、漢字を多用した台詞回し、
巻末の膨大な文献の量に明治時代への強い思い入れを感じます。
またヴァイオリンの演奏作画にプロの監修がついていたり
主人公含む地方出身の13人のキャラについて
日本各地で取材を重ねた上、それぞれ方言を喋らせるなど
作品作りに気合いが入っています。

ハーレムものと思ってみるとかなりの衝撃を受けます
死を絡めた美しくも恐ろしい明治浪漫物語、続きが楽しみです。

「天使と契約」してバイオリンの才能を手に入れた主人公・相模竹之丸と、彼をとりまく、音楽院の12人の少女の物語。
彼は、契約の代償として、12人の少女のうち いずれかの心臓を「天使の剣」で刺し、宝石を取り出し天使に渡さなければならない。

　明治の音楽学校を舞台にした、この作品は「ぴたテン」の過去編のころの印象がありますね。

明治末期の女学院を舞台にした、誰もに好意を振りまく美貌と抜きん出た音楽の才覚を与えられた主人公。

その「契約」の「代償」を少女たちによって支払っていくという、時代ものと美少女とヴァイオリンとオカルトが絡み合った作品です。

詳しくは割愛して、最初のターゲットになった奈々緒のシーンは、ぐっと胸にくるものがありました。

ブレイドも画力に差があるほうですが、百戦錬磨のこげどんぼ*先生だけに文句なし。コマごとの描き込みもしっかりしていますし、可愛いだけでなく目を引く表紙も見所です。

全体的に、期待値を大幅に上回っていて、先の気になるいいタイトルに出会えました。
