　眼球運動やタッピングを用いることにより、外傷記憶を再処理するという心理療法。単一のトラウマなら３回程度のセッションで治療をすることが可能とされ、PTSD治療として最も注目されているEMDR。

　その創始者であるシャピロが書いたEMDRのバイブルとも言うべき書が、ついに邦訳された。EMDRの全容は、これで明らかとなる。
　

　実際の使用にあたっては、トレーニングを受けてからが望ましいと思われるが、EMDRの全容を知りたい人や、EMDRのトレーニングを受けてみようかと迷っている人、また、Part１のトレーニングを受講し、さらにPart２を受講するまで自ら勉強したい人、さらに、Part２までトレーニングを受け、実際にEMDRを臨床で使用している人にも役に立ちます（付録が使える）。お買い得です。

効果的かつ最新の心理療法のひとつ、EMDRの解説書。

EMDRはテクニック的には至極容易な手法のひとつだが、内容の奥深さには圧倒される。
心の内のネガティヴなものの原因を探ることがないため、過去の問題を思い出して
クライアントがパニックになることもなく、また簡単な指導で本人が自分で
できるよう教えることも可能だ。

個人的な経験では、高所恐怖症、パニック症候群、不定愁訴全般に
特に高い効験があったように思う。

本書では、心理療法的な問題解決に始まり、更に積極的な応用方法として
人生全般に応用可能な方向性を示している。

心理的問題を扱う治療家、カウンセラーにとっては短期間で高い成果が出せるEMDRは
複雑な思いも抱くだろうが、これからの時代は習得していないとプロフェッショナルとして
技術面で厳しい思いをすることがあるだろう。
