最近、「これだけやれば大丈夫」、「すらすらできる英語」のようなお手軽なイメージの学習法がブームですが、これはそうした流れとは全く反対の書籍です。筆者の経験などから、正統法、王道ともいえるような学習法が述べられています。筆者の英語教室での成功例などを考えると、説得力がある一冊です。
難点は、この本におけるメインの学習法、「音読パッケージ」と「瞬間英作文」という方法に時間を多くさける方（特に社会人の方）がどれだけいるかということです・・・少ない時間でも効果はあると思いますので、英語を話せるようになりたい、英語の本を読みたいと真剣に考える方にはお勧めです。

これまでにたくさんの英語学習法の本を読んできましたが、その最後の最後に辿り着いたのが本書です。
僕が漠然と考えていた「理想の英語学習法」が、見事に系統立てて実践的な方法論として解説してありました。

この本はもともとWeb上で話題になっていた英語学習法サイトをもとに編集・出版されたものなので、詳細はそのサイトに行ってご覧になってみてください。

英会話学校に通っているのですが、TOEICのスコアも大して伸びる
わけでもなく、学習方法を考え直さなければと思っていました。
そんなときこの本を偶然に見つけて、自分が感じていたことは
当然なことなんだとわかりました。
語彙力の不足、文法的な知識の欠如など... ひとつひとつクリア
しなければ現状は打開できないと思い、やみくもに単語を暗記しても
一晩経てばすぐに忘れる虚しさ。真面目に英語を勉強する人ならば
経験することだとわかりました。英語学習者に欠如していたのは努力
よりも正しい学習方法だったんだと納得しました。この本では各段階
での学習方法を丁寧に説明してあるので、自信をもって学習を継続
することができそうです。
真摯な態度で英語を学習する人達にとって大切なのはTOEICの点数を
付け焼刃的に向上させることではなく、コミュニケーションツールと
して使えるようになることなんだと再確認できました。
巻末の「お勧め教材」の章も役に立ちます。
疑問なのは同時並行的にあれだけの学習を社会人がこなせるか？
ということです。この本をガイドにがんばって英語をものにします。
