この本を読んでいて、おやっ？と思ってしまったのは、著者の提唱する「日本ＱＣ型速読術」についての説明であった。まず「ＱＣ」について、「二割をサンプリング抽出し、重点的に管理することで改善点を見つける」と書いている。確かに「サンプリング」や「重点管理」はＱＣに関わる用語だが、「二割を抽出する」って、それはちょっと違う。また「トヨタ看板方式」について「納期と目標をあらかじめ明確にし、看板に掲げてしまう。看板に明記した以上、絶対に納期を守り目標を達成しなければならないので、がんばって計画的に生産を進めるようになる」・・・これも全然違う。ＱＣも、カンバン方式も良い入門書はたくさんある。その中の一冊でもちゃんと読んでいればこんなことは書くだろうか。速読能力があるのなら、そのくらい目を通すのは簡単なはずだ。この速読の効果がどの程度のものであるのかがはなはだ疑わしくなってしまう。おかげで、読み始めて１０分も経たないうちに、うさん臭さが本全体に蔓延してしまった！速読を身につけさせるための訓練法を考案し、持っているのであれば、余計な事は書かずにそれだけをしっかり書いてくれればよいのに、と思う。ちなみに、この本の中で参考になるな、と思ったことの多くは「あなたも今までの１０倍早く本が読める」（ポール・Ｒ・シーリィ）に書いてある。読むならそちらが良い。

従来の速読術本を”戦闘レベル”とすると、この本は”戦術レベル”。
”○○式弓矢の使い方”だけ記述されているのが従来とすると、この本では”刀””槍””旗指物””法螺貝”・・など、それぞれの道具の使い方の要約が書かれている。
更に、状況に合わせてどのように組み合わせると有効か　独自の提案がなされている。

あるアウトプットを出すために何分かけられる、その時間内に最大の成果を上げる読み方は・・という発想。
一冊読むのに何分かかった、それを○○法で速くしよう、だけではない。

勤め先で著者の速読セミナーを受講しました。とてもよかったですよ。

フォトリーディング、マインドマップをベースに、目的に応じて方法を使い分けよう、というのが著者の主張。

目的が異なれば適した手段も異なるので、納得。ある程度はすでに実践していた。専門書等について記憶を重視する、というのは大事。
