書店でぱらぱらめくって見て、一目で気に入り即購入しました。
まずイラストが本当にかわいい！
力の抜けた感じ、シンプルな線で、けれどもおしゃれな絵たちがページ中にちりばめられています。
「手慣らし編」は、もじゃもじゃ、ぐにゃぐにゃした線をただ描くことから始まり、
絵を描くことに対して抵抗や恐れを感じている人でもおそるおそる（そして気楽に）始められるよう考えてくれている、
そんな優しい心遣いを感じられます。
それでいて
「手ならし編」→「基礎技法編」→『イメージ編」と進むにつれ、技法的なことも、しっかり教えてくれます。
イラスト教本は今までたくさん手にしてきましたが、
作例が魅力的なものが少なく、「描きたい！」と思わせてくれるものがなかなかありませんでした。
が、この本は、見ているだけで、描きたい気持ちをむずむずさせてくれます。
眺めているだけ、真似て描くだけでも楽しい気持ちにさせてくれる本です。

本当におすすめです！

初めてイラストをきちんと描きたいと思ったら必要なことが
きれいにまとまっていてとてもよいです。
でも、これをしっかり体得するには結構大変ですよ。さっぱりしてるのでそこか見えずらいだけで･･･
本にも書かれていますが「気楽に」が、実は重要です。
絵がかわいいので見てほのぼのするのも可能です。

イラストを描いてみたいな〜というときに参考になるような本です。
基礎から段階的に書かれていますが、かなり簡潔に凝縮されているという感じです。
本格的に描くためにはこの本では物足りないです。
