ポリクロモスの100色を使って、自分流に色鉛筆画を描いていましたが、この本は、素材に応じた描き方が詳しく載っています。また、非常にわかり易い内容です。「1色の色鉛筆」で濃淡を使いその物を表現出来ること(例えばピーマンなど緑1色で)など新鮮な感覚を覚えました。大変面白かったです。稲月ちほさんの色鉛筆画大好き!!

本屋さんでいろいろ見ましたが、これがいちばんよかったです。
明暗、立体感、光沢感の出し方などなど、ポイントがわかりやすく押さえられています。
ちょうどわたしが持っている色鉛筆（ポリクロモス）が使用されているので、色番号も参考になってよかったです。
１色で描くところから始まっているので、これから色鉛筆で描いてみようという方にはおすすめです。

色々と多くの本を比べて一番良くまとまっているし、画風も好きなのでこれにしました。ピーマン、里芋まではまずまず似たように描けたとおもうのですが、洋梨でちょっとつまずいています。タッチを色々と使う、例があるまではいいのですが、具体的にどうやるとそのタッチが出せるのか説明がおおざっぱで実際にはその通りになりません。なにか説明が足りない、抜けていると思います。何度読んでも、虫眼鏡で見てもどうしても分からない。初心者向けにもう三段階ぐらい丁寧に一つの作品のステップがあったらさらに良かったと思います。また、前半の静物は本当に魅力的な作品が多いのですが、後半の風景画はちょっとあっさりしすぎて模写する気に今のところあまりなれません。
