この本を読んだ（見た）からといって基本が身につくとは思えないけど、さっぱりまとめてあってレイアウトの参考にはなると思います。
タイトル通り、見本帳です。
でも見本帳ってほど見本がのってるかと言われるとそうでもなかったりする。

　ＤＴＰの勉強をしています。「本のデザインをするとき、読者の性別・年齢などに考慮して書体やレイアウトを考える」と教わりました。この本は巻末にレイアウトカタログがあり、その雑誌の対照となる読者の層についても載っており、大変参考になりました。

再読したらスバラシイ本でした。
１　サンプルのひとつひとつに最小限にして適切なコメントがついているので、具体的に手法とその意味（効果）を知ることができ、この往復トレーニングをかさねると、レイアウトの観点が自然に身に付き、他の本を見ても漫然とページを眺めるということがなくなりました。

２　実在する本の表紙の写真を入れたのはよかった。読んだ本なら思い出したり、知らない本だと中身を想像したり、思わずあの写真の前で時間を費やしてしまいます。本の表紙というのは不思議な吸引力をもつもので、世界を一身に凝縮している気がする。それが、300冊ちかくこの見本帳にはつまっている。文化への情熱をかきたてられる欲張った本でした。
