Firefox の初級解説書です。ムック本なので、雑誌の特集記事を拡張したような内容・構成となっています。記事の関連性は薄いので、興味のある記事だけ拾っていけばよいでしょう。

Firefox の入門者には「Firefox 乗り換え＆拡張機能ガイド」との比較検討を勧めます。本書は Firefox の入手方法とインストール手順から解説をはじめますが、その次はいきなり「特集1　Internet Explorerユーザーに差をつける」と題して「ライブブックマークでRSSを使おう」となっています。本書の主な対象層はパソコンに慣れた方なので、Firefox の基本操作は非常に軽い程度の扱いなのです。この点、非常に注意が必要です。

逆にいって、既に Firefox を使用していて、単なる IE の置き換えは済んでいる方にとって、本書は効率よく「一歩上の活用法」を学ぶことができ便利です。タブブラウザ拡張がていねいな図解で解説されているのは、まさに本書ならでは。GUI が用意されていないユーザ設定項目の解説も好記事。

なお、中級以上のユーザには物足りない内容だろうと思います。「ウェブ上で自分の知りたいことを簡単に調べられる」「適当に試行錯誤するだけでタブブラウザ拡張をバリバリ使いこなせるようになった」そういった方々が瞠目するようなすごいテクニックは紹介されていません。あくまでも初級解説書です。

127ページ程度の小冊子なのですが
インストールから便利な拡張機能、RSSリーダーとしての活用、
ブラウザでの表示の違いにかかわる正しいHTMLやCSSについて等々、
かゆいところに手が届く内容です。
整理されて書かれたものはありがたい。

FireFoxの初の書籍なんでしょうか．
名前の通りガイド本といったところです．

沢山のテーマからプラグインの紹介，Mozilla Japanやプラグイン開発者のインタビューなどFireFoxを体験する上でのガイドになることがらはほぼ一通り網羅．厚さもそんなにないので電車の共にもし易い．広く浅く知る上ではオススメかも．

しいていうとトラブル対策などがあまりかかれていないので，困ったときに困るかもしれないです．

別にFireFoxいらねーと思ってましたが(確認用に使ってたけど)この書籍読んで(全部読みきってないけど)ちょっと使ってみようかと思いました．

ほとんど、２色とモノクロ刷りの本です。
こういう本がフルカラーであって欲しいものです。
