積極的に休暇の効用を訴える点はいいのですが、のんびりと年収を100万円アップする休み方 という副題につられて買った人は失望することになるでしょう。本を量産する著者の時間管理術には敬服しますが、書かれる内容は薄くなってきているように感じるのは、私だけでしょうか？

　著者は精神科医という本業のかたわら、山ほど本を書いている。（amazon検索で236件もヒットする）しかも１９６０年生まれで、まだ若い。
　「○○力」という流行を当てこんだタイトルや「のんびりと年収を１００万円アップする」という副題は、いかにも「売らんかな」という意図がミエミエだが、「できるヤツほどよく休む」という売り文句は著者自身の仕事量を見ると納得できる。

　休暇前後の「初頭効果」と「終末効果」、自分のペースに合わせた休暇の取り方など、参考になる話が幾つかあるので、まずは得した気分。
　一番身につまされるのは、“心を癒す”ような休暇をとらないと理性の力が損なわれて「うつ」が発生しやすくなるよ、というアドバイス。著者の本業が精神科医なので、この上ない説得力で響いてくる。２００ページも無いので、ちょっと損した気にもなるが、休暇の大切さを認識できるので、まあいいでしょう。

　それにしても、表紙の「できるヤツほどよく休む」という売り文句は、印刷ではなく丸いシールで貼り付けてある。「帯の代わりにシールかよ！」とツッコミたくなる。あざとい本だ。

なんとなく買ってしまうところが、「和田本」の魔力です。
しかも、スーッと読めてしまうところも、また魔力です。

でも・・やっぱり、ネタの使い回しが多かった。
同じネタを、ただ休暇を取る、という切り口で書いただけ。
エッセイですね。多くを求めてはいけないんですね。

あ、決して、ためにならない本ではありません。
読んでおいて損はないと思いますよ。

休暇、休憩、睡眠、気晴らしのやり方は、人生で大変大事ですし。

副題には「のんびりと年収を100万円アップする休み方」なん
て書いてありますけど、本文には、生産性を上げることには
言及してますけど、１００万円アップする方法なんか
書いてあるわけもありません。

アップするかどうかは、この本を読んで、実践するかどうか。
自分次第ですね（あたりまえか）。
