本は薄くて、「だれにでもできる母乳育児(ラレーチェリーグ)」や「おっぱいだより集」また「シアーズ博士夫妻のベビーブック」などの本を読んだあとでは、母乳育児の知識として参考になる内容は個人的には特にありませんでした。でも、読みやすい本ですし、あと楽におっぱいを飲ませる姿勢を絵で紹介してあって、本を片手に早速いろいろ試してみて便利だったものもありました。
さすがに立ち読みでは、飲ませる姿勢を習得するのは難しいのですが、図書館で1回借りて家で子供と試すことができれば十分な本ではないかと思いました。

私は出産後にこの本を読みましたが、もし初めて出産する人に
妊娠中に読む本のおすすめを聞かれたらこの本を挙げると思います。
完全な母乳育児を目指して悩む人に、本当に大切なことだけを気楽に
アドバイスしてくれる、優しいベテラン助産婦さんのような本です。
もし母乳が出なかったら？母乳の出が悪かったら？と悩む新米母に
赤ちゃんと幸せに過ごすためのいくつかの合理的な方法を
教えてくれます。厳しい戒律や精神論を押し付ける本ではありません。
ラレーチェリーグインターナショナルの「だれでもできる母乳育児」も
とても良い本ですが、まず最初に読むならこの本がおすすめです。

産院の母親学級「母乳育児」で助産婦さんがお勧めしていた本です。
完全母乳を目指していたのですが、これを読む前は
初産だし最初からちゃんとおっぱい出るか心配でした。
でも読んでみたらできそうな気がしてきました。
いま産後２週間ですが退院後は完全母乳でいっています。
特に、添い乳はとても楽です。

完全母乳を目指したいお母さん、
足りないんじゃないかと心配してミルクを足す前に、
母乳で腱鞘炎や肩こりに悩み母乳をやめてしまう前に
一度読んでみるといい本だと思います。
