おそらく 『よつばと!〈5〉』のとーちゃんの発言から連想しちゃって作っちゃったのであろう本作。白と黒の動物とよつばを一緒に描いただけです。ストーリーはありません。イラストの図鑑といったかんじです。
ただ、ちょっとあずまのセンスが光るなぁと思わされたのは、動物の名前が本物なところ。俗名じゃないんです。子ども向けだけど、子どもを子ども扱いしない。あずまきよひこは立派な人だと思いました。
漫画のストーリー性が好きな人には物足りないかと思いますが、あずまきよひこ及びよつばスタジオのデッサン力やデザインセンスが好きな人は買ったらいいと思います。お安いので、まあ試しにってかんじがいいかもしれません。

ハッキリ言って、よつばと！を知らない人には、なんじゃこりゃ！てな感じの絵本です。ページが少なく、物語も無い、子供が読んでも面白いと思う子は殆んど居ないと思われます。これは、よつばと！好きの大人の為のちと高いイラスト本・・・てな感じ？かな？

　せりふも何もない絵本ですが、しろとくろの動物とよつばの格好が非常にマッチしていて、いかにもよつばらしさが出ています。
　私は特にシマスカンクのページのその後が気になります。よつばは無事で済むのでしょうか
　よつばファンなら癒されますよ。いやよつばファンでなくても、小さなお子さんへの動物絵本としてプレゼントするにもいいと思います。
　これは「買い」です。
