前作<Missing>とはまた違う『ファンタジー』であり『ホラー』が楽しめる。
痛みや血、傷、物語。そしてグロテスクな表現。
前作よりも其れが増していると思う。
最初の内はこの話独特の専門用語や世界観が解り辛いかも知れないが、
読み進め、また読み深めて行く内に解ってくるだろう。

だが前回よりもライトノベル的な要素が増えているのも確か。
それが少し残念でならない。
この『設定』や『言葉等の武器』は全て甲田学人氏に依るものなのだろうか…。

狂気と狂喜について行ける人は、是非読んで貰いたい。
そして同じ一読者として、新たな見解を聞かせて欲しい。

甲田氏曰く『メルヘン』、とのこと。
童話を元にした話なので確かにメルヘンだが、甲田氏の書く話のタイプを知らずに絵買いなどをすると後で泣く羽目になるかも。

グロテスクな表現などはレベルアップしている感じ。
異形の表現は、どちらかというと『Missing』よりは『夜魔』寄り。
設定が色々ややこしくて頭に馴染ませるのに時間がかかるが、一度理解してしまえば多分この先読み進めるのは大丈夫。

けれど、前作『Missing』に比べて、いかにもラノベっぽい要素が幾らか見られるのが残念といえば残念。
例えば男一人に女数人というハーレム状態や、ゴスロリ少女が二人ほど出てくる、等。
怪異に立ち向かう武器が出来てしまったのもファンタジック度を上げている。『Missing』のような理不尽さは期待出来ない。
甲田氏の作品は大人でも楽しめるのが魅力だったのだが、完全中高生向けになってしまった感がある。

イラストの好みは個人差があると思うが、前作の翠川氏や睦月氏に固執していると少し抵抗があるかも。

それは読み手が決めるものではないか。
レビューを見ていて思ったのはグロいという感想が多かった事。
自分的には矢張りホラーというイメージがしっくり来る。前作と比べても見劣りするとは思えないが…。
登場人物も個性的であり、怪異と戦う動機には共感するものがある。
そもそも前作でも怪異に抵抗する手段はあったのだから本質そのものは変わっていないと思いたい。
