長らく続いた「半分の月」シリーズもこれで最終巻です。読み終わった今、充実感、達成感よりむしろ喪失感を感じます。終わってしまったなぁ、と。
なんのことはない、普通で、けれども少し特別な主人公たちの日常。それは、激しいアクションも、たくさんのかわいい女の子も出てきません。そこにあるのはただ、リアルだけです。そして、私たちに「生きる」ということの尊さ、悲しさ。「人」という生き物の弱さ、儚さそして強さを教えてくれました。私たちは、わかっているつもりで、何もわかっていないのかもしれません。
ライトノベルというのはあまりにも強いメッセージ性。ライトノベルという枠にはめたくない作品です。アニメっぽい挿絵などのせいで（私的にはぜんぜんアリですが）毛嫌いする方もいるでしょう。しかし、たくさんの人に読んでもらいたい。未読の方は、是非一巻から読むことをオススメします。

そのうち短編集が出るそうですが、本編は今巻で完結。

病院をとりあえず退院し、裕一と同じ高校へ通う里香。裕一は事情により結局留年し再び2年生。そして里香は当然のことながら1年生からのスタート。

今巻では特別コレと言った話はありません。裕一と里香及びその他の人々の日常が描かれています。それでも裕一の気づかぬところで進行してることもあったり…

そして司やみゆき、夏目など皆それぞれの道へ進みます。裕一は前巻で決意したように伊勢で里香と共に生きてゆきます…

ラストはある意味、裕一と里香の2人に相応しい終り方。

最初のキッカケは本屋で漫画を手にしてからでした。だから6巻まで全て出版された後でした。絵の雰囲気が好きで立ち読みをしたのですが、内容を読んで、みるみるうちに引き込まれていきました。内容はとても平凡で、でも大切なものを内に秘めている…。
主人公である祐一と里香は色々な事を乗り越え考えて、最後には自分で選択していきます。終わりの見えない終わりを二人で生きていくことを。この作品は1巻からしっかり読んで下さい。お願いします。そして6巻を読んで下さい。俺は祐一と里香が日常を暮らしていけることを「良かった。」と思いましたし、この作品に出会えて「良かった。」と思いました。作品を読みながら沢山泣いて、沢山喜んで…。この本はこの先、何度も読み返して、ずっと側にある本だと、そう感じています。
