私はこのシリーズとても好きですね。

確かに、この作品には現実味はありませんし、現実の倫理観や常識で考えればとても許されることは無い行動をするキャラクターが多くいます。

でも、だからこそそんな彼ら彼女らは美しい。
「１００万人の命のために、１人の命を生贄にしなければならないなら、そうするしかない」という理屈に断固反対する主人公に共感を覚えることがそんなにいけないことでしょうか？

「結局最後は力押し？」という批判には、私は「そりゃそうでしょう」と答えたい。現実の世界だって、権力者の都合で世界が回っていることですし。倫理観や常識でさえ、決して不変でも絶対でもありはしません。それは私達の現実の歴史が示しています。

彼らのやりかたが気に入らないのなら、止めればいい。
しかしそれも力ずくにならざるを得ないけど。

私は、自分の信じたもののためには例え他者の理解が得られなくてもがんばれる「子供の」彼ら彼女らが大好きです。

現実の世界では、決して出来ないことをやってくれるから。
大人になった私には、決して出来ないことをやってくれるから。

精神が未熟な子供たちが切迫した世界情勢の中で力を持ったら
どう考え、どう行動するのか。歯がゆい話です。

このお話には、思想的に諸手を挙げて
賛成・応援できるキャラクターは存在しないのです。
（○○萌えー、とかは置いておいて、）

誰が正しいとも言えない、誰が間違ってるとも言い切れない。
巨悪は存在せず、正義の組織も存在しない。

しかも対象年齢層（中学生~高校生？）に合わせてか、
組織の論理や「大人の事情」は大幅カットされている。

これは大人には読むのが辛い物語です（笑）

手を出して気持ちよく筋を並べ替えたくなる。
幾つかのキャラクターには鉄拳制裁下したくなる。

しかし……

自分に心地よい納得できる行動信条のキャラクターは簡単に書けます。
歯がゆい苛立つキャラクターを何種類もは、なかなか書けるものでない。
だからプロの仕事なのだろうと思います。

作者の嗜好≠キャラクターの行動。当たり前のことですが。
（理解できない方もいらっしゃるようですが…）
作者の視点は、祐一やレノアといった”大人たち”側に近いような？

このシリーズに付き合い始めたのが運の尽き。
今後はこの大風呂敷をいったいどのように畳まれるのか、
注目したいところです。
これからも賛否両論出るような（望むところでしょうが）、
歯がゆい物語が展開されるのでしょうかね、はぁ。
