半分の月がのぼる空シリーズ第５巻です。
今巻では、今現在のことというよりも、これから（将来）のことを主に主張していたと思います。

夏目に連れてこられた場所で見たものは、いずれ自分が歩むだろう道の風景、または結末。その辛さを知る里香の母。
小さい頭なりに、１７年という短いなかでの少ない経験なりに考え、＜全てを失うことをわかっても里香と一緒にいる＞ということを覚悟した祐一のその意志ときっかけ。

この本の中で「ありがちっていうのは本当によくあるからありがちっていうんだ。」という言葉がありました（少々間違ってるかもしれませんが）。
半分の月がのぼる空のような話では「ありがちな話だよな。」とか思う方も多いと思います。けど、上の言葉のようにありがちだからこそ、こういうのは気づかないだけ、または自身に起こらないだけで、本当は身近でたくさん起こってるのではないでしょうか？

当たり前に生きてる自分がいる変わりに、その当たり前ができない人も多くいるんだということを私はこの本を読んで気づきました。
この本は別に小難しい文章ではなく、簡単に読めるものなので、きっかけ（レビューを読んだり、友達からススメられたり）があればぜひ読んでほしいです。

一晩で一気に読んでしまいました。
それぞれの会話がすごく青臭く、くだらなく、読んでいてとてもいいものです。
守るもののため裕一が確かに成長していくその姿は、格好悪く、カッコイイ。思わず応援したくなります。
1巻からの伏線が回収されるラストの砲台山は感動すると共に、顔が真っ赤になりました。

主人公達の心の葛藤がメインです。達ですから複数です。とっかえひっかえに最初から最後まで、時を変え、場を変えて。ここまでじっくり書かれているノベルは少ないのではないでしょうか。時間の流れそっちのけでじっくり進みます。でもそれがテンポが悪いとか読みにくいわけではなく、応援してあげたくなる、そんな感じで。
