悪魔のミカタや、ジャストボイルドオ’クロックを読んで、うえお久光が好きなら十分買い。
ただ、ハードカバーなので価格面でなかなか手が出しにくい。
内容は５点だけど、価格が足を引っ張って星一つ減。
普通に電撃文庫で出版して欲しかった。

それと、イラスト見る楽しみが無いのが微妙に悲しい。
この作品に限っての話ですが、上手い絵師がついてくれればもっと良くなったと思うのは、私だけ？
いえ、イラストが無くても面白いんですけど・・・うーん。

物語は十分に楽しめるので２巻も買うつもりだけれど、心配事が一つ。
うえお久光って今のところ、後に引っ張る要素をキレイに解決して完結した作品がないんですよね・・・。
（一冊で完結している様でも続編の出る匂いがプンプンするという事です）
これはちゃんと完結するのかな？
価格も高いので、多くても３〜４冊位でまとめて欲しい所。
でも面白いんですよね〜。困った作家です。

（本レビューは以下作品の世界設定を説明しますので、予断なく作品を読みたい方はご注意を）

　本作品では中・高生にあたる少年・少女たちの一部が、睡眠中に「シフト」と呼ばれる現象によって「夢の世界」に移動してしまうという設定のもと物語が語られます。「シフト」した世界はファンタジー的な剣と魔法の世界で、現実とは関連のない外見・能力を持ったもう一人の自分として出現します。「シフト」に関する様々なルールは物語が進むにつれて明らかになっていきます。

　「シフト」のルールは実に巧妙でこの作品に多様な側面を与えて、様々な要素が絡み合うなんとも言えないハイブリッドな味わいがあります。現実と「シフト」した世界を行き来するという設定は、往還型ファンタジーや「ナイトウイッチシリーズ」なんかを思い浮かべるのですが、匿名性を保った人々が現実とは異なる人物としてRPGする様子はモロにネットゲーで、そういう意味ではアニメ「.hack」や「スラムオンライン」に近い味わいです。細かなルール設定はゲームの持つ人工的な美しさがあって「レベルE 」を思わせるし、子供だけの法のない世界を描くという点では「チャイルドプラネット」「無限のリヴァイアス」っぽくもあります。

　それでも☆を1つ減らしたのは、物語の核となる「シフト」のアイデアはすばらしいのですが、そこから生まれる物語はまとまりを欠いているように感じるからです。おいしい素材をいくつも垣間見せてくれるのに、それを消化不良のまま物語が閉じてしまう。書きたいことは本が分厚くなろうが、分冊しようが書くうえお久光らしくないのです。それが残念ではありますが、そうは行っても水準以上の作品ではあります。

まるで連載打ち切りの漫画のように終わり方が中途半端。
いろんな部分がしっかり仕込まれているだけに、消化不良の度合いが半端じゃない……続き書くのかな？　そうだとしてもハードカバーは流石に勘弁してほしいかも。
