収録数だけは満足できるのですが、ソフト紹介の画像は、ほとんどゲーム画面ではなくパッケージのみ。また紹介文の右側にアイコンとなる画像写真があるので、とても読みにくいデザインになっています。
値段は安いので買っても損ではないと思いますが、できの悪いカタログと言った感じです。

まず本のほうですが、確かに1994~2004年までのPS,PS2のほぼすべてのソフトが網羅されてますが、あくまで『載っている』という程度のものが大半。
一部大作モノなどは、１P、1/2Pを使って紹介されてますが、大半のソフトは3行程度のちょっとしたゲーム説明、発売日、メーカー、定価が載っている程度です。
コレを読んでコレを買おうなどと参考にするのは厳しいです。

で、セーブデータですが、こちらは内容が偏りすぎ。一つのゲームで10個前後のセーブデータが収録されてたり、スクウェアやエニックスなどは皆無だったりと使い勝手はイマイチかと。ただ、アクション（格闘含む）ゲームやスポーツなどは『隠し要素すべてオープン』などがけっこうあるのでこういったジャンルが好きな方には多少良いかと。RPGやSLGなどは全体的にパッとしません。

電撃PS系の本なのですから、電撃PS、電撃PS2のレビュー得点載せるくらいはしても良かったんじゃないかと思います。
あとはPSの歴史（10数ページ）や有名クリエイターのコメントが載ってる程度です。

PSの歴史が浅く広く、分かります。
PSを最近買ったとか、
ゲームはじめて1~2年という方向きです。

オリジナルアイテムなどが在ったりしますが、
意外とセーブデータは、使い勝手が悪いです。
ゲームによって偏りが激しい。
買う予定の方はあまり期待しないで買ったほうがいいと思います。
