待望の新刊です。
プロローグ・エピローグ含め、ちょうど半分ほどがシズ視点の「船の国」という異例の巻です。三日どころかその五倍の時が流れていきます。
また、今回収録の話の中で、一番私が気に入ったのは、師匠と弟子の「歴史のある国」。パースエイダー・スミスの「感謝されたり『恨まれたり』」の意味がやっと分かりました。最高に笑えます。
準メインのサブキャラ好きならば、これ一冊でかなりお腹一杯になること請け合いです。（もちろんいつもの一人と一台もしっかり活躍しているので、彼らのファンならずとも必見ですよ）
そして後書き。毎巻パワーアップを遂げる後書き、今回も本編以上に面白く、そして見つけにくい。読んだら爆笑必死です。キノの××って…（大笑）
続きモノではないにも関わらず、これからの展開が楽しみです。。早く9巻が出て欲しいのですが、今回の例からして1年くらいは待たされそうですね…全国のキノファンのためにも、時雨沢先生に頑張って頂きたいところです。

追記：シズのその後が不安な人は、4巻167ページの9行目を読み返してみてください。

７巻からだいぶ間が空いていましたが最新刊です。
作者はこの間に別シリーズを書いていたのですがそれはおいといて。

で、できはどうかというと相変わらず電撃文庫トップクラスの面白さ！
ギャグなのだけどどこかシリアス風な感じがあったり。
自分が考えないないことを書いておられます。

あとがき
カラーなあとがき本編とはまったく関係ないあとがきなど
前代未聞のあとがきを書いてきた時雨沢先生ですが、今回もすごいですよ。

　今回は主人公のキノではなく、脇役である師匠やシズの話が多く出てきます。
　師匠は相変わらずと言った感じで、後のパースエイダースミスのちょっと抜けたようでいて、ちゃっかりしている感じがよかったです。物事の善悪なんて分からないものですね。
　シズの話は、三日間という決まりから大きくはずれて、長期間一つの国に滞在します。これはあの船の「国」が「国」という形を取ってはいるものの「国」ではないということのメタファーなのではないでしょうか？この話では優しさは時として残酷なことでもあるという感想でした。
　久々の新刊でしたので期待していましたが、期待通りのキノで満足でした。早くも次回作が楽しみです。
　あとがきも巻を重ねるごとにパワーアップしていて、今回も笑わせてもらいました。
