RPGやAVGによくある雰囲気ですね。そして普通は冒険する主人公を中心に進んでいくのですが、これはそのヒロインのお話です。登場キャラクタはみんないい人で、読み手としてはいつ裏切られるかハラハラなんですけど、いらない心配でした。あまりに波瀾万丈な世界を期待されてる方には物足りないかもしれませんが、ヒロインの精神的上限下限いっぱいの心理変化を楽しめるこのようなお話は好きです。
ある世界をその部分だけ抜き出した格好になるこのお話は、その世界を説明する分だけ文章量が増えてしまっていますので、読破時間には要注意でした。

一冊で収まりきらない状態だったとおもいます。
せめて2.3冊くらいに分けたほうが、完成度よかったんじゃないかな。
作品のアイデアはいいとはおもいますが。

あと、やっぱり、IT用語に左右されがちな表現を使う作家さんですね。
作品でも、権限者、ポート、その他のIT用語をつかった表現をされていますね。
それが結果説明云々で、ページ数激増してるような気もしないでもない・・・

ちょっとシツコイ(クドイ)出来栄えになったような気がします。

悪くはないけれど、微妙な作品でした。

SFチックな設定は中々いいです。
断面(エッジ)・破片世界(ピース)・航路(パス)・拠港(ポート)という概念がおもしろい。
そして、メインの物語場所となる海辺の島の雰囲気も、
清涼感があっていい感じがしました。
また、キャラクタも際立ってこそいないものの死んでいるわけでもなく、

これまた適度にキャラが立っています。
主人公の家族関係の設定は、おもしろい割に活かし切れていないと感じましたが。

で、肝心のストーリーですが、途中までは中々よかったです。
キャラクタの葛藤も良く書けているし、
”犠牲を払って進むか安住か”というテーマを上手く絡ませられています。

なのだけれども、ラストが最悪でした。

ネタバレになりそうですが、安易なオチです。

このラストさえなければ、かなりの良作だったのに…

私はこの小説好きですね~アイデアがすごく面白いと思います。私にとっては、小説を読む楽しさを思い出させてくれた1冊です。
