今回も哀しい話ばかりである。
特に「パスタの国の王子様」は、少女だけでなく、教官の哀しさも伝わってくる。
ただ、不幸自慢話で終始しない点が、この漫画の良いところ。
少女達は不幸でもあるが、また幸福でもあるということを忘れてはいけないかと。
見る者が不幸だと思っても、当事者が不幸とは限らない。
これについても、作中にて以下の台詞がある。
「私がサミシイかどうかは　私が決めるの」

それでも、やはり哀しい話である。

つらく悲しい過去と今を背負った少女達の物語の続編。
前巻で焦点が当てられた、ヘンリエッタ、リコ、トリエラに加え、この巻から新たに、クラエス、アンジェリカが登場してますます暗く沈んだ話が展開されます。
それでも、時折出てくる少女達の日常と笑顔をみていると、この作品が暗い方向に進まないことを物語っています。

『毎日は過酷だが、不幸ではない』
彼女たちの毎日の先に何があるのか、先の展開が非常に気になる作品です。

２巻発売を機に、１巻から読み返し、数日間枕元にこの作品を置いて読み返しながら眠りについた。
非現実の物語にも関わらず、これほど苦しく、切なく、心を締め付けて離さない作品は、私の近年見てきた漫画には無い物だ。

この物語の登場人物達は、必ずしも幸福ではない。むしろ、我々一般の価値観からすれば不幸である。そうした中、個々の境遇における捉え方
は様々だが、それぞれの想うほんの少しの幸せに向かって直向きに生きる姿は、読者の胸を打つ。

どのような境遇においても、人はそれぞれの幸せの可能性を、必死に守りながら生きて行く物なのだと、空想の物語に教えられてしまった気がする。
人間の生き方、人間の感情的な本質をえぐり出すかのような、心痛む感動を与えてくれるこの作品は、どのような言葉をしても賛美しきれない
程の名作であると思う。

この物語の結末に、せめて可能な限りの幸福がある事を、願ってやまない。
