このシリーズは全編通して、ちょっと切なさが残る感じに仕上がっております。
ハルヒと同じく先が読めない展開で主人公の内面もよく出てて、とても引き込まれます。
しかし、ハルヒが表面的に日常世界であるのに対し、こっちは非日常を前面に押し出しているので、キャラクターが濃すぎる感があります。
さらに１巻はもやもや残る話ですが、是非、作者を信じて最終巻まで読んでいただきたい。
きっと解消されます。

　作者のデビュー作のひとつ。この本と同時に刊行されたのが、角川スニーカー大賞受賞作。

　主人公の一人称で掛かれるのだが、その語り口調が非常に上手い。今までのライトノベルの作家とは、あまり似ていない。本多孝好氏の『MOMENT』や村上春樹さんを思わせる。素朴だけど、独特のテンポを持っていて読ませます。奇をてらっているよりは天然という感じがします。

　もちろん、キャラクターも魅力的です。双子の妹、しかも片割れはブラコンでかつ幽霊。ほかにも、丁寧な口調で毒を吐きまわす女子や、尊大極まりない先輩など、わけの分からないキャラクターがたくさん出てきます。彼らと主人公の繰り広げる“日常”は物凄く面白い。

　ただし、事件の伏線の張り方がだらだらしすぎている気がします。また、展開が唐突な気がして、私にはついていけませんでした。
　『涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱』でも感じたことですが、この作者の描く日常は非常に面白いのに、この作者の描く事件は、大げさで唐突過ぎるように感じられ、私の好みではありません。

　しかし、文章は非常に上手い方だと思いますので、今後に期待したいです。

つまらない、というのが正直な感想です。
これじゃあ「学校を出よう！」シリーズをこのさきも読ませる魅力が全くない。それが、本当にもったいない。
このシリーズ、谷川流氏の真価が発揮するのは二巻からです。一巻だけしか読んでない人は、ぜひ二巻三巻と読んでください。

と、この作品についてですが、キャラはしっかり立っており、PSYネットなどの設定はなかなか面白かったです。しかし、その設定が物語にかみ合っていない印象を受けました。そのためか、物語の盛り上がりがあまりなく、読んでいて退屈する場面もあります。

結論を言うと「学校を出よう!―Escape from The School」は凡作です。しかし、その続刊は傑作ぞろいなので、この巻で捨てないでほしいです。
