残念ながら、長年のガンダムファンにとっては無用の長物です。
ＴＶシリーズ新作の設定が追加されてますが、最新作『SEED』については放映中ですから、当然一部のみの収録に止まっています。
また、謳い文句にある、ゲーム等の他メディアに登場したオリジナルデザインは、ほとんど追加されていません。

さらに、何度も改訂されていながら、既存データの穴は一向に補完されず、ミスも修正されないまま。
まったくもって不完全な“全集”といえるでしょう。
出版・編集者は同書に求められているもの、同書を購入しようと考えるファンの性向を勘違いしているか、単なる“やっつけ”で制作したか。
そのどちらかであると断じざるを得ません。

ただ、ガンダム初心者でこういった設定集を持っていないという方にだけはオススメできると思います。

初めてこう言った本を購入したのだが、意外と詳しく掲載されているのには驚いた。値段的に見てもお徳感がある。

しかし、私個人的には「機動戦士ガンダム」~「逆襲のシャア」までの世代なのでそれ以降のMSははっきり言って興味もないしガンダムとは思えない。
ポイント別に絞り込んで、シリーズ別にさらに詳しい内容にして貰いたかった。

基本的な内容は、過去に見たことのある説明文を引用している感じがする。
こう言った全集をお持ちでない方は一冊くらい持っていても良いだろう。そんな意味では購入をお勧め出来る。

ところが、プラモデルのMGシリーズの組み立て説明書の内容の方が単体MSについては遥に詳しい。
説明書の記載されている内容が本になれば嬉しいのだが。

今のところ、一体一体購入していくしかないのが残念。

皆さんお待ちかね！！のMS大全集最新版がついに発売です。初代ガンダムから、最新のガンダムSEEDまでのあらゆるモビルスーツがこの一冊に集合！！プラモやゲーム、小説に登場したマイナーなモビルスーツまで網羅。これまで掲載できなかった『ターンA』などのMSも収録し、現時点では完璧な1冊です! ガンダムファン必見の一冊。
