第9回電撃ゲーム小説大賞「金賞」という
字を見て手に取ったこの本ですが、
「テンポの良い作品」というのが第一印象でした。
深く読みとどまらないと理解できない、といった部分がほとんどなく、
それなのににしっかりとした情景、心情が描写されています。
期待どおりの内容だったと思います。

様々なキャラの立場から描写がされており、

自分の気に入ったキャラに肩入れして読むことが出来る点も
魅力的だと思われます。

また、弟にも読むことを勧めたら、とても早く読んでしまいました。
年齢が低くても面白く感じ、読みやすい本だということだと思います。
少し話がそれてしまいますが、これに気に入った方は、
是非、1931『鈍行編』『特急編』も読まれるといいかと思います。

数年前、ふと書店でみかけて何を感じたのか、初めて成田良悟に手を出してしまいました。

驚きました。驚愕でした。ライトノベルというものを初めて買ったんですが、こんなのアリか?と思いましたねぇ。

テンポよく、絡み合う、一度読んだら忘れられないようなキャラ達。そして今や、成田中毒…。

万人受けする作家とは思いませんが、ツボにハマルともう、逃げられません。

成田中毒の第一歩にどうですか?

舞台は禁酒法時代のアメリカ。不死の酒を巡る物語です。

これには『誰が主人公』といったものが無く、何人ものキャラクター
同士の物語が交互に発展し、それぞれだんだんに絡み合い、ラストに一つの結末へと収束していきます。

二日間の間にスピーディーに物語りは進み、ラストのラストには全く予想できないオチが待ってます。

キャラの個性も強く、複線や展開などいい感じに出来上がっています。
自分なりの『主人公』を決めて物語を楽しみましょう。
