4.0 out of 5 stars 秋山瑞人の生んだ傑作, 2003/5/2
この感動は、なんと表現すればよいのか？荒削りで、勢いだけで仕上げられたような作品である。しかし、作者の意気込みとパワーがぐっさりとハートに響く。
キーワードは「機械と人間の心の交流」。人工知性と人間の間に刹那交わされる、心温まる、ちょっぴり悲しい心の交流が、ジワリと涙腺を緩ませる。

この手の「機械とヒトで泣き落とし」的手法で攻めてくる作品は数あれど、読了後にこれだけの充実感を味わせてくれる作品は、あまりない。（ていうか、最近はからっきし）
では、何故この作品が成功したのか？やはりヒトと機械知性体の間の強い絆がしっかりと描写されているからだろう。（これに匹敵するような成功例を強いてあげれば、劇場版「ドラえもん　のび太の海底奇岩城」のバギーちゃんぐらいか・・・？）

この二巻を前にすると、一巻はこの作品の為の肥やしだし、三巻は出涸らし。遥かに霞んでしまう。
秋山作品のほかの作品には２００３年５月現在、魅力を感じない。

四巻は待つが、あまり期待するのは酷だろう。だが、（大いに）期待したい。

　やはりやはり秋山節、炸裂。
　きちっと笑わせて、きちっと泣かす、てな具合。
　後半の構成がちと引っかかる。凝ろうとしすぎて、読む側としては少し読みづらい。読んだことのある人なら分かってくれると思いますが。
　でもそれは些細な問題で、出来の方は見事としか。
　初志貫徹してる感じがして、やはり面白い。

　あと。
　秋山瑞人の真骨頂は、意識持つ機械と人間との葛藤ではないかと。
　そこに泣かされました、今回も。

いや、教官ルノアだと思うんですけれど、それ以上に各登場人物が主人公のように生き生きと振る舞っているんです。

過去の回想シーン。なにげに残虐です。戦争ですから。

２巻目、各キャラクタの変化していく心理が面白い部分です。
