絵は、わらかい感じで好感が持てます。
出産、子育ての真っ最中の作者が、書いているので、共感できる人でないと解らないことが多いかもしれません。
他人を喜ばせるよりも、自分の子供を喜ばせることに専念して、どういうことを書いておけば、その子が大きくなったときに誇りに思うかに集中して書かれるとよいかもしれません。
また、面白さだけの状態から、作品が脱却する好機なので、出産、子育てを経験して、人間のより根源的な事項を描写する作風へ変わっていくことを期待します。
絵の面白さがあるからこそ表現できることがあるので、作者はすでにかわいい絵という一つ武器を持っているのでがんばって欲しいと思います。

他レビューでも言われているとおり『ダーリンは外国人シリーズ』としては
読み終えた後の満足感は今ひとつ…といった感じです。
ただ出産・子育ての苦労を経験しながら小栗さんがこの作品を描いたことを考えると
単に面白くなかった！と一言で切り捨てるのも酷かな〜と思ってしまいます。
赤ちゃんが生まれたことで作者に自由な時間や心の余裕が減ってしまったことは
作品を読んでいても感じ取れます。
気のせいかダーリンとの雰囲気が前シリーズに比べてあまり良くないかも…？
（子育てに関する考え方の違いなどあるので夫婦として当然ですが）

満点の面白さや笑いを期待している方は、気持ち半分で読むくらいが丁度いいです。
ダーリンシリーズの雰囲気が好きな方は、買ってもそれほど損ではないかと。

ちなみに子育てに関しては私はトニーさんの考え方のほうが好きですね＾＾
（ハイハイなど）

シリーズの続編ということで期待大だったのですが、
ダーリンのキャラが立っておらず、ちょっと肩透かしでした。
スポットが子供にあたっているのでしょうがないのかもしれませんが
パパになったトニーのボケっぷりは期待しない方がいいです。
産婦人科の先生のコメントなども載っていて、逆に実用書としてはいいと思いました。
新米ママなら。
