ついにユキが大役を踊る本部公演の日が来ました。ものすごいイメージ喚起力のせいで、自らのネガティブイメージに翻弄されるユキが、どうやってこの重圧と闘うか。すごい見せ場になっています。

トランス状態、というものがあります。映画に夢中とか、周囲を忘れるほどおしゃべりに熱中するとか、誰にでもあることです。しかし芸術家がトランスになると、それは我々凡人と違って、見る者を巻き込まずにはいない強烈な力を発揮するんです。アーティストのノリが尋常ではないコンサートとか、時々ありますよね。あんな感じ。
バレエにおけるそれがどんなものなのか、この巻ではユキの心理の波を丁寧に描写することによって、トランスの力＝舞踏芸術の根源的魅力に迫っていきます。すごいですよ…古今の心理学者が難しい言葉でしか言えないことを、ドラマにしてサラッと見せてくれるんだから。

そして今回も、泣かせる台詞が満載です。山岸作品最大の魅力はネーム。心を打つ、泣かせるネームが次々と出てきます。次の10巻の伏線となるはずの、すごく重要な台詞も。しっかりと９巻を読み込んで、山岸先生のメッセージに気づいてください。そうすれば、私たちはどんな運命にも立ち向かえるはずです。想像を絶する試練でも、耐える勇気を見つけられるはずです。がんばれユキ！（そしてがんばれ俺！泣くな俺！）

このドラマを間近で目撃できるなんて、幸せです。

いま一番、なによりも楽しみにしている作品です。
何度も何度も何度も読み返してしまいます。
しかも、自分が年をとったせいか、ちょっとしたシーンで涙が出てきてしまうのです。
それこそ、舞台で技が成功した、とかそれくらいで。
努力とまわりの人の協力で成長していくという単純な構図を、リアルに喚起させてくれる作者の力量に感服いたします。
作者の山岸さんは、いつごろからか作風というかテーマが変わりましたよね。
優しさとか心の広さが作品に現れるようになったと思います。なにかを乗り越えたような。
ますます偉大になっていくこの人と同時代に生まれてよかったと思います。

千花ちゃんと六花ちゃんの運命の分かれ道がはっきりする巻です。
『なぜなの？』と何回も考えてしまいます。

芽が伸びること。
芽を摘まれてしまうこと。

雑誌掲載の本編の続きが気になって眠れません。
