グの新作は本人が生まれ育った京都の本、とはいっても巷に溢れている【京都礼賛】物ではありません。
そこに育ちその後他の地域に出て行ったからこその、京都人の意識してないイケズさをさらっと書けてしまうのかも。

私自身関西人で仕事などで生粋の京女京男と接してほんのり感じていた、オブラートに包んでるくせに別れて5分後くらいに【あっ、あれきついイヤミかも？】ってのは誤解ではなかったのだなとまたふむふむと納得したりして。

でもこの本はそういう京都の内々の本音を書きつつ大笑いさせてくれて、読み終わった後【怖いけどちょっと京都に行ってみようかな】と思わせてくれます。

そういえば京都ってきれいな写真満載のガイドブックでは懐石料理や神社仏閣の紹介だらけだけど、実際行ってみるとラーメン屋だらけで驚くもの、そういう本音なとこがいっぱいのこの本を読んでから京都に行くとまた違った京都を楽しめるんじゃないでしょうか?もちろん読むだけで十分楽しめるんですけどね、でも読んだら行きたくなるかも。

面白かったです。若い頃、京都に住んでいたので思わず笑ってしまう事が多かったです。「〜はる」と「〜よる」の言い方の使い分け方や、王将の話、一番笑ったのが「河原町のジュリー」です。あの当時に京都にいた人しか分からないのではないでしょうか。京都も変わってしまいました。「ジュリー」の代わりにカラスの様なキャッチが増えました。
　グさんには早く「続　ナマの京都」を書いて欲しいと思います。

関東人の皆さんには、ＪＲ東海のＣＭ「そうだ、京都、行こう。」のおかげか、非常に京都に幻想をお持ちの方が多いようです。
しかし、この本に書かれている低い目線での京都もこれまた真実。すなわち、「いけず」をされたり、「餃子の王将」が京都人のソウルフードだったり、「この間の戦争＝応仁の乱」だったり。それこそがまさに「ナマの京都」であります。
この本を読んでから京都観光に来れば、旅が３割増しで楽しめると思います。
