いままでいくつものCGIやPERLの書籍を読んできましたが、肝心な初歩の部分が抜けているような本が多いのが現状でした。この本は、CGIの基本となるPERLについてDOS画面付きの詳細な手順をもって説明しており、いつのまにか、プログラムの初歩を実行しているという感じです。また、プロバイダにアップする前に掲示板、占い、アンケートといった自作プログラムを付属APPACHEサーバで実験するなど、実際のプログラマの手順を踏んでいるところも新鮮です。お薦めまちがいなしです。

「入門書」の中には、解説に不備があって用語調べをしなきゃいけなかったりするのが多いけど、この本は、まだ勉強したてのホヤホヤの私でも、わかりやすく一からしっかりと解説してくれてあって、すごくわかりやすく読みやすいと思います。

少し古いのが難でしたが
この本がなければ、一生、転送ができなかったと思います

プログラミングの細かい事についての知識を得るには適さないけれど
初心者が一番つまずく、転送までの細かい知識を知るには適していると思います
