西日のような表紙の色。
作品に関わる小物がランダムに配されていて、愛らしい。
時をまたいで仕掛ける恋の続きと帯の惹句にある。
前作『田村はまだか』の緊張感溢れる「時間の仕掛け」とは異なるものの、
心の中でくすぶり続けた思い、時間というものを朝倉かすみさんは
またテイストを換えて料理してみせてくれた。

たったひとりの人を待つための「タイム屋文庫」を開くという柊子の思いつき。
時間旅行の本（ＣＤ、ＤＶＤ）しかないのは、かつての恋人？吉成くんのことばを
忘れられなかったから。まったく何も考えちゃいないのだ。
祖母ツボミをして「考えなし」の「抜け作」と言わしめた性格は、30歳になっても
なおるはずもない。

それでも、仕事も不倫も清算し、亡くなった祖母の古い家に移り住んで
貸本屋を開店する決意は変わらない。
“市居のばあさん”と呼ばれていた祖母の人柄が、この柊子の抜け作ぶりを
周りの人にうまくフォローされるように導いていくのもなんだかおもしろい。
だいたい祖母ツボミさんの人生の破天荒ぶりからして、物語に精彩を与える
ものだ。大胆で、かつ愛すべきひとという印象だ。

柊子の思いがつまった店のためか、はたまた祖母が住んだ古い家のためか
タイム屋文庫を訪れる人々の心に起こる不思議なことは、
柊子の恋のゆくえとともにこの物語のもうひとつの大切な核心だ。

時を超えてつながるものはあった。「案外遠くて、案外近い」「ここ」を
見つけた柊子の、その思いがかわいいじゃないか。
ウィットとユーモアの効いたどこかドライな印象の文体が、
ロマンチックな物語にちょうどよいさじ加減だ。

今、わたしがイチオシの作家
朝倉かすみさんの最新作です

眠ってしまいました
この本を読んでいる間に…

面白くない訳じゃないのです
むしろ逆
面白いのです
でも
この作者の文章のゆらぎというか
心地よさにやられてしまうのです
で、眠ってしまって…（笑）

小樽のある山の坂の途中
錆びた青いトタン屋根と白いモルタルの壁
主人公の亡くなったおばあさんの古びた一軒家の居間
そこに、貸本屋
タイム屋文庫はある

びろうど張りのソファ
東向きの大きな窓からは海が見える
旧式のステレオからはスタンダードナンバー
タイム屋文庫はその名の通り
時間旅行（タイムスリップ）について書かれた本しか置いていない

そして
その女性店主は
一人の男性を待っている
すごく会いたい
ただばったりもう一度…
会いたい思いだけでこの貸本屋を作ったのだ

内容はこれで充分でしょう

この作者のすごいところは
情景描写、感情描写
とにかくうまいですね
うまいというか…わかるんです
すごく良く出来た説明書と言うと語弊があるけど
久しぶりにこんなに表現の豊かな作家に出会いました

読んでいると
本当にこのタイム屋文庫があって
そして行ってみたくなります
ノスタルジーとでも言うのでしょうか…
胸の奥にしまっておいた何かが
そこに行けば、あるような気がするのです

なんでもないような話
でも朝倉さんが書くと
なぜか
文章がキラキラして見えます
そういう本がいちばん心に染みるのです

良い本を読みました
皆さんにもオススメできます
ページをめくれば
きっと
時間旅行ができますよ…

たいくつ。。。そんな本屋、訪ねたくもならなかった。朝倉さんは光文社で書いてほしいな。
