厳島神社についての本を探していたときに出会った一冊ですが、逆に併せて掲載されている出雲の神社や四国霊場に興味を持ってしまいました。
この本はただ神社の由緒等を羅列してあるものでなく、筆者の主観によって紹介がなされているあたりに好感が持てました、また写真もふんだんに盛り込まれているので手に取りやすく、かつその紹介されている神社へ素直に誘ってくれる良い本だと思います。
筆者の江原啓之という方、テレビ等で拝見はしていましたが、正直なところ胡散臭い霊能力者という認識しかありませんでした、しかしこの本を読み、認識が１８０度変わりました。それがきっかけで彼の本にも興味を持ち始めましたが、まずは神紀行の続編をどんどん出してもらいたいものです。

本のなかで、江原さんが言っていること自体は、面白かったのですが
構成が中途半端。本の作りの悪さです。レストランだの宿だのの量が
多すぎ。これではまるで「るるぶ」ですねー。

行けば分かりますが、神魂神社はいただけない。最低でした。建物だけ立派でしたが。神主が初老の人の良さそうな女性をいじめていました。一部始終見まして、後で女性にフォローしました。狂信的に傾倒するのは危険です。神主がヘンな所は信仰の場としては、やはりヘンだと思います。
