日本が安い値段で食料を大量に輸入し、その一部は加工され、誰にも食べられることなくゴミ箱に直行している・・・。

日本人の今の生活は、安い賃金で働いて下さる第三世界の飢えた人々に支えられて成り立っているらしいです。

一番こころに響いたのは世界が食糧を支援している量の２倍を日本人が捨てているということです。コンビニにおかれていた賞味期限の切れた、おにぎりやパンは？小・中学校の給食の残りは？回転寿司屋の残りは？それぞれ、どうなっているのでしょう？また、外食に行っても食べ残しの量はとても多いと思います。大人も子どもが残してもあまり怒ってないのではないでしょうか？もうちょっと、工夫すれば無駄に食べ物を捨てることはないと思うのですが…。

肉を得るために、たくさんの野菜が必要という観点。想像だにしてませんでした。確かに、牛にしろ、豚にしろ、鶏にしろ、生き物ですから、食事をします。その肉を人間が頂戴しているわけですから、当然元から考えると、それだけの野菜が必要になります。もう、原点に返って自分の必要最小限の野菜、肉、魚だけをとる重要性が地球を守るため出てきました。なかなか、援助はできません。その生活のペースを変えることは難しいのですが、その心を持っていきたいです。
