堀場さんは、１代で、京都のベンチャー企業を大きくした人だけに、いつもその著作は得る所が大きいです。
今回の著作も、共感を覚える部分が多く、ためになりました。
サラリーマンではなく、ビジネスマンを目指す人にはお奨めできます。

本書は堀場製作所の創業者社長である著者が、自身の会社経営の経験に基づいて従業員に求められる資質を書いたものである。ある社長の一意見として捉えることもできるが、様々な職場における共通項として学ぶポイントが多分に含まれていると感じる。製品開発における自分のアイデアが社内で受け入れられなかったとしても、あきらめずに遂行して成功させた担当者の話、著者に部下を叱られた上司が、自分の責任を回避せずに正直に自分の失態と進言することができるかという話などの多数の挿話は、読み手に自分自身の仕事の在り方を省みるきっかけを与えてくれる。特に、著者が強調して語る「会社は劇場、管理職は演出家であり、役者である従業員は舞台で自分の演じるべき役割を理解し、行動することが求められる」という言葉は的を射た言葉であるといえ、強い感銘を受けた。

簡潔にまとめられていてわかりやすい本でした。自分のダメな点についても反省させられましたが、自分らしく思い切って仕事ができるのは堀場氏のような経営トップがいる会社だからこそ、だと思います。サラリーマンが読んだ方がいい本ですが、それ以上に経営者の方にこそ読んでほしい本だと思います。
