家事、暮らしなどに関する本が好きでよく読みますが、
よく感じるのは、こういうものは日本のものの方がずっといいな、
ということ。

この本も、至極、大変、至って、当たり前の内容で
お金の使い方をよりよくしたい、という人が読むにふさわしい、とは
思えないのは私だけでしょうか？

ワードローブは着まわしがきくシンプルなもので、とか
車を持つよりもタクシーの方が都会の人なら安いのでは、とか
そんなの今時主婦雑誌でも扱わないよ！というくらいのレベル。

なので買うほどの内容ではないと思います。

この本で書かれているお金が貯まらないＡ子さんとはまさしく私そのもの。自分でも分かっているところをズバズバと言い当てられ、読んでいるうちに恥ずかしくなってきました。ということは、裏を返せば言われなくても分かっている当たり前のことしか書いていないので、なるほど~という驚きがありませんでした。しかも、作者は結構質素な生活をしている人らしく、私とは人生における価値観がちょっと違う気がしました。もともとケチだったという作者はやはり根本的にはその性格があるので、そういう人が書く「節約本」はあまり共感できません。実践方法の紹介というより、なぜ節約・貯蓄が大切なのかを再確認させられる内容です。

常識、当たり前のことが書かれてあるといえばそれまでですけど、
忙しくて自分のお金の使い方を振り返ろうにも振り返る時間がない人にはおすすめかも。
これまで読んだことのある節約術は、時間（手間）でお金を浮かせる内容ばかりだったので、
ちまちま節約をしている余裕のない自分には、この程度が性に合いました。
手にとってよかったですよ。
