中世の歴史ある服飾を収めた本、そう聞くだけで
値段が張りそうなイメージがありますが、
このシリーズは値段も手頃で気軽に手に取ることが出来ます。
極力無駄な情報を省いた文庫本サイズの本書には、
歴史的な民族衣装を収めた豪華本の中から選り
すぐりのものがフルカラーで収録されています。
西洋を中心にロシア、インドなどの芸術価値の高い

服飾画の中には、きっと貴方が見たこともない
ような装飾の服装が収められているはずです。
用途や構造等を解説した文も添えられており、
大変参考になります。歴史や服飾に興味をお持ちの
方だけではなく、イラストなどの資料としても大きな威力を
発揮すると思います。

　文庫化される前、25×25センチ位のハードカバーで出版されていました。　当時は２冊の分冊になっていました。

　文庫化されるにあたり、図版数が減ったのと、本サイズが小さくなった為細かいディテールは見難くなりました。

　各国の服装を、ネイティブの人が身につけた様子を描いているので、
服装以外にも、だいたいの身長や体格、顔の骨格なども参考に出来ると思います。

　ハードカバー版を見つけたら、そちらを選ばれることをお奨めします。

　待ってました、こんな本。
さっそく読んでみたんですが、お手頃のサイズで
これだけの満足感が得られる本って少ないのでは？

民族衣装を着た人物のイラストとともに、
衣装の名称、着用されていた時代まで知ることのできる
便利な本だと思いますよ！
ヨーロッパの民族衣装が主でした。
ワタシは文章を書く上で、参考にしていこうと思っています。
