第１巻が、と言うわけではないのですが、
全１０巻全てを通して、何度も泣けてしまいます。
そして、考えさせられることも多く、本当に素晴らしい本です。
世代を超えて、読み引き継がれられるべき内容だと思います。

テニスをする人なら、なおのことですが、テニスには無関係な人でも大丈夫です。軽い漫画や、軽い小説もたまにはよいですが、重厚なものを心が欲したときにはお勧めします。

昔から何度も読み返しています。
高校生なのになんでこんなに深いんだろう、お蝶夫人の高潔さは成長していく岡ひろみとの対比で最後まで際立っています。
白熱するテニスへの情熱が臨場感あふれる筆致で描かれ、スポ根の王道を行く漫画というだけでなく、生きる姿勢や人間としての根本的な部分を見つめるのにこれほどまでの漫画はほとんどないと言っていいでしょう。
スポーツを通して漫画に入り込めるので、これから自分の道を選択していく若い人たちに読みやすく、もちろん大人が読んでも人生の真理を見つめることのできる一冊です。

あの名作漫画が、全１０巻の文庫で登場。
もう一度読みたかったけれど、手元に置くには量が多すぎ・・と悩んでいたのが一気に解消。
今回は、思い切って買いました。
子供の頃に友達から借りた漫画ですが、大人になって読むと、なんとも大人びた精神構造の高校生たちに頭が上がりません。
読んでみて~！！
