なかがわ りえこ
札幌に生まれた。東京都立高等保母学院を卒業後、保母として働くかたわら、児童文学グループ“いたどり”の同人として創作活動を続けた。現在は著作に専念している。1962年に出版された童話『いやいやえん』(福音館書店刊)は、厚生大臣賞、NHK児童文学奨励賞、サンケイ児童出版文化賞、野間児童文芸賞推奨作品賞を受賞した。また1980年、『子犬のロクがやってきた』(岩波書店刊)で毎日出版文化賞を受賞。東京在住

やまわき ゆりこ
東京に生まれた。上智大学卒業。実姉中川李枝子とのコンビの仕事が多数。日本の子どもばかりでなく外国でも高く評価されている。東京在住(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

ぐりとぐらシリーズが大好きな３歳半の娘に買いました。
本のサイズは、通常のぐりとぐらシリーズがよりも縦が少し長い変形サイズです。
１月から１２月までを毎月見開き２ページ（左が挿絵、右が文章）で構成しています。
挿絵は、通常のお話の挿絵に比べてかなり手がこんでいて豪華です。

文章は、お話というよりは詩のようなカンジですので、子供によっては好き嫌いがあるかもしれませんね。
娘にとっては、この絵本はお話を聞くというよりも、挿絵を見て楽しむといったカンジです。
リュック背負って遠足だね、七夕のお飾りは幼稚園でも作ったよ、カエルさんは雨が好きなんだよねと挿絵一つ一つ見入っています。

最後の「まるくわになっておどろう　うたおう」のページは、運会のお遊戯を思い出すらしく「みんなで手を繋いで踊るのは楽しいよねー、ぐりとぐらも一緒だね」と言って喜びます。
「ぐりとぐらの1ねんかん」と内容的に似ているので大人はちょっとがっかりなのですが、娘は大好きなので、星５つにしました。

ぐりとぐらを選んだのは２匹のぐりとぐらの絵がかわいくて素朴だから
購入しました。読んでみると他の熊やリスやうさぎなどの絵もやさしいくてとてもソフトに感じます。内容は１月から１２月の季節の言葉や子供がする行事などをやさしく書いてあるのでとても気に入りました。
