ひしき あきらこ
1960年、東京に生まれる。父親の仕事の影響で、幼い頃よりスウェーデンの文化に親しんで育つ。慶応義塾大学卒業後、スウェーデンのウプサラでスウェーデン語を学ぶ。現在、スウェーデンを中心に北欧児童図書の翻訳、紹介に活躍(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

ベスコフの絵をじっくり見たくて購入しました。
お話の中で、こどもがこどもらしく描かれており、
とても自然で愛らしいのが印象的でした。

キャラクター物に押され、今はあまり書店では出回らない本だそうですが、
こんなふうにじっくりと丁寧に描き込まれた絵が見てもらえないのは
残念でなりません。

それにしても、、、お話の顛末がこんなだったとは！
私がこの小人のお母さんの友だちだったら、
絶対に「や、やめときなよ」と言ってしまいそうです。

ベスコフの絵本は沢山持っていますが、
最も私の好きな絵本です。子どもたちもこの絵本が大好きで、
いつも真っ先にこれを選び出します。
素朴な絵にもとても癒されます。

切り株のおうちには、こびとのおじさんが住んでいます。 すてきなぼうしのおうちには、こびとのおかあさんと３人の子どもたちが住んでいます。 ある日、おかあさんが出かけると、３人の子どもたちは、いいつけを守っていいことをしようとはりきるのですが･･･。

ぼうしのおうちは、どうなるのでしょう。 かわいいこびとのお話です。
