あやちゃんは５歳の女の子。６歳のお誕生日を目前にしたある日、ママから、あやちゃんが生まれた日のことをお話してもらいます。予定日を過ぎてもなかなか生まれてこなかったこと、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、ぱぱみんなで赤ちゃんの誕生を待ちわびていたこと、生まれたときのみんなの喜びがママの優しい語り口調で話されながらお話は展開していきます。娘に読んであげながら自分のことと重ね合わせて思わず涙ぐんでしまいました。読後、娘が生まれた日のことをパパも交えて懐かしく思い出しながら離しました。自分が生まれてくることをこんなにも待っていてくれたんだね、と改めて実感したようです。ぜひ、家族みんなで手にとって欲しいお勧めの１冊です。

あやちゃん、６歳の誕生日に自分が生まれた日のことをお母さんから聞きます。
事実を事実として伝えているだけなのですが。
子供にはストロークとなります。
「家族のみんなに待ち望まれて、あなたは生まれてきたんだよ。」
この本はそんなメッセージを子供に送ることでしょう。

この本を読んであげて、あるいは自分で読んだ後に。

その子の生まれた時のことを一緒に話してあげると良いと思います。
考えてみれば、いくつになっても自分が生まれた時の事って聞きたいものかもしれない。
